I am completing post-defense revisions to my dissertation, “General Intelligence: Iranian Student Activism and the Documentary Politics of Sojourn in France, 1945–1979,” at the University of Michigan.
Princeton
I have just moved to Princeton, NJ, where I am beginning the M.Div. at Princeton Theological Seminary as a Francis Grimké Scholar. I am slowly learning the campus, the library, and the town.
Church and ordination
I am an Inquirer for ordination to the Ministry of Word and Sacrament under care of the Presbytery of Detroit, and I have concluded my three-year term as a deacon at First Presbyterian Church of Ann Arbor.
Writing
At Life Under the Word, I am working toward a post a month.

Beyond coursework, I am reading The House of Rust by Khadija Abdalla Bajaber.
